The oldest part recalls the Gothic Renaissance style while the eighteenth-century wing with the dovecote and the front Italian park recalls the typical concept of a noble residence.The beauty and setting of this wonderful property offered Antonio Fogazzaro (late 19th century writer and poet) the backdrop for his second novel Daniele Cortis. The broken column in red marble, coming from Egypt but recovered from the Baths of Caracalla, is a metaphor in the text of broken love.
